The Grey College (GCB) Paul Roos Gimnasium (PRG) old boys have been connected socially via an annual golf day for the last 20+ years. We decided to start a foundation in 2009 with a constitution and register a public benefit organisation to administer and ensure the constitution of the association is adhered to and the goals and principle object of the association are fulfilled. The foundation only has one fund raising event per year and that is a golf challenge between the old boys of the 2 schools. Funds are raised in various ways and the proceeds are then used as per the articles of the foundation. The game is played on the Friday preceeding the interschool activities on the Saturday every middle of August. The game is always played in Stellenbosch, (whether the interschools are in Bloemfontein or in Stellenbosch).
We are proud of what WE as old boys are able to achieve annually, the special connection and friendships between these two schools, create the ability to make a difference in someones life to take part in this special part of South African Boys school history
